AbZolutely Choir explores contemporary music parts-singing – everything from folk to pop to jazz and swing, every decade from well before we were born to the very recent past.

Running Time: 1 hour, including an intermission.

Scary Stories Returns!

We’re bringing back our popular Hallowe’en themed event!

And for the first time, our storytellers and listeners will gather in the new Blackstock United Cultural Centre to share humorous and scary tales of the supernatural and
macabre. Even though we’re indoors, we’ll be serving up a little fright and a lot of fun with a program full of classic, contemporary and Canadian seasonal stories, with cider
and treats for everyone. Optional dressing in costume is welcome with great giveaways for creative trick or treaters.

The October 29th and 30th evening readings are recommended for ages 12 and up, with
the Saturday, October 31st 1 pm reading recommended for families and all ages.

We Remember

On November 7th and 8th we pay our respects to those who have served our country with We Remember, a collection of readings, letters and stories of the Great War.

First-hand accounts and dramatic scenes of life behind the front-line, in the trenches and on the homefront recall a time when the world changed forever in the early 20th century and when the young country of Canada joined the fight of “the war to end all wars”

The readings are recommended for ages 12 and up.

Content may contain verbal accounts of warfare and violence.

Christmas on the Ridge

Our annual holiday party, Christmas on the Ridge, is just around the corner. We’re excited to welcome everyone this holiday season to our new home and invite you to join us for songs, scenes, stories, special guests, lots of holiday cheer and a visit from Saint Nick himself!

Christmas on the Ridge is also our time to celebrate the many accomplishments of 2026 and to recognize the many volunteers who have made such a contribution to this year’s success.
