At Theatre on the Ridge, we’re working year round to provide our patrons with a singular summer experience in theatre. We’re also proud to be part of a community of dedicated and innovative local and independent businesses and we encourage you to delight in all the details that make Port Perry and Scugog Township a singular destination to visit and stay!

Combine your theatre experience with dining, strolling and cultural fare in Port Perry to build a multi-dimensional visit along the shores of Lake Scugog in one of Ontario’s most picturesque Victorian small towns and rural areas.

Old Flame Brewery: Old Flame’s downtown location has a storied history of over 150 years; from housing carriage works to cobblers. Old Flame beer is also filled with character and without pretense. Enjoy a tasting or pint before the show. While there is no food menu, you’re welcome to bring food to enjoy with your drinks. Indoor/outdoor seating.

Piano Inn & Cafe: Excellent coffees, scrumptious lunches and desserts, right in the heart of town on Queen Street. Enjoy lunch, coffee and dessert before a matinee or evening show (closes at 3:30 pm). Combine this stop with exploring and shopping in historic Port Perry. Indoor and patio seating.

Port Cheese Co.: a gem for lovers of cheese, wine and fine ingredients in general. Whether your palate is well-versed or just being introduced to the joy of nibbling, this cozy nook has something for all taste buds. Call ahead to order your Cheese & Charcuterie Board and enjoy in-house. Or request a ‘Picnic Pack’ and take a short walk to Old Flame Brewery to enjoy with beer. Palmer Park is also a hop, skip and jump away.

Scugog Shores Museum Village: Explore the Village, location of our summer venue, before or after a show, to have a window into what daily life was like in Scugog from the mid to late 1800s. Or bring some picnic fare and enjoy your meal at one of the outdoor picnic tables on the grounds.
