Please read the information below and then fill out the Entry Form at the bottom of the page. Thank you!

Competition Details:

Port Perry Snapshots Short Play Festival is a playwriting competition celebrating the moments that can define either a single life or a whole community in a small Ontario town. In 2024, as this year’s source of inspiration, we recognize and celebrate some of our community’s diverse dining establishments as we explore the theme of food under the concept of “Food for Thought.”

Playwrights are invited to create short plays (10 – 30 minutes) from our snapshot prompts featuring several local restaurants. Meals and dining play vital roles in our lives. The preparation, consumption and enjoyment of a meal is part of our everyday routines and our significant moments and milestones. Our attitudes towards food help define us and connect us. Stories are told, deals are made and lives can be changed over the dinner table or in a corner of a cafe. So many possible snapshots to share, so much Food For Thought…

Submission Deadline: February 29th, 2024

Entry Fee – $25 (see the Entry Form below to pay)
